Formatting Rolescape text is easy with Markdown. Here's a handy cheat-sheet!
With Markdown, you can easily add ### Headers
, **bold text**
, *italic text*
, 1. List items
, tables, and more. External links are easy, too: [text](https://somewhere.com)
There are also Rolescape links which let you link to other entries in the Tome of Lore. They look like this: [[Note Title]]
. (Note the double brackets!)
Add a letter and colon (':') after the [[
's to link to a categorized entry. Example: [[d:Odin]]
will link to the entry in the Deity category named Odin, and if that entry does not yet exist it will be automatically created. The shorcuts include:
[[d:Deities]]
[[e:Events]]
[[f:Foes]]
[[i:Items]]
[[l:Locations]]
[[n:NPCs]]
[[o:Organizations]]
[[c:Player Characters]]
[[q:Quests]]
You can link text to Tome entries by placing it between the last pair of brackets: [[d:Eru]creator of all things]
.
The editor also provides autocompletion support for these entry links whenever you type [[
, [[:
, or [[:
. Try it out!
You can also enter live dice rolls into the entry using standard dice-roll notations wrapped in ={}
, e.g. ={2d6+3}
